Just two weeks ago I had the pleasure of hustling a 1962 Jaguar E-Type around Paul Ricard Circuit in France in the Sixties’ Endurance Classic.
I was invited to drive beside William Paul in the Classic Performance Engineering E-Type. Despite a clutch issue in the 2 hour race we brought the car home 3rd in class after a front row start. These classic machines are so much fun to drive and a completely different experience to a modern racing car. I’m hopeful of more opportunities in cars like this!
This weekend I travel to Silverstone, the home of British Motorsport, for Rounds 25/26/27 of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
We will use the shorter National layout at the Northamptonshire track which is the perfect setting for close touring car racing.
We’ve now scored 6 top ten results on the bounce and we aim to continue this good form at Silverstone!
