This weekend I head back down the road to contest the final British Touring Car Championship event of 2017 at the famous Brands Hatch GP circuit in Kent.
A track which every racer loves for its fast flowing and undulating nature – a real driver’s circuit. After some positive speed at Silverstone I’m looking forward to stretching the legs of the #6 Ford Focus on the GP loop.
It was just a couple of months ago that I jumped aboard a BTCC car for the first time. I was thrown in at the deep end that’s for sure, having to learn a new style of car and racing with limited seat time and experience in fwd. The learning curve has been tough but a lot of fun and I feel like I’m just starting to grips with everything. We’ve hit some bumps along the way (quite literally) but we are going in the right direction.
I’m aiming to finish the year off on a high at Brands Hatch, but all we can do this weekend is focus on our own performance and do our very best as a team. Whatever happens it will be action packed!
